Giving Our Garden Furniture a Bright New Life!

We want to say a massive thank you to our incredible maintenance team—Reece and Dave—for all their hard work breathing new life into our garden furniture!

Instead of replacing our worn wooden tables and benches, Reece and Dave have been busy upcycling them. By carefully sanding them down and applying a fresh coat of bright, vibrant paint, they’ve transformed our existing outdoor seating while keeping sustainability right at the heart of what we do. Reusing and restoring what we already have is such an easy, effective way to reduce waste and lower our environmental impact—and the results speak for themselves!

The new pop of colour has completely revitalised our outdoor space, making it a bright, uplifting spot for residents, visitors, and team members to gather, relax, and soak up the sunshine. It’s proof that with a bit of creativity and care, green choices can be visually stunning too.

This upcycling effort is just the beginning of our summer sustainability goals. As we continue working on the garden over the coming months, we’re looking forward to introducing more eco-friendly projects that help our home stay green and vibrant.

Planting Memories: New Additions and Sustainable Projects for Our Garden!

Our garden is continuing to grow and evolve, and we are thrilled to share that our brand-new planters are fully built and ready for action!

These wonderful new additions are going to open up so many exciting possibilities for our upcoming September activities and for seasons to come. Most importantly, they hold a very special meaning for our home. We are deeply grateful to the family of our beloved late resident for their generous donation, which made these planters possible. Every new bloom will serve as a beautiful way to honour his memory and his deep passion for nature.

Looking ahead, we are excited to keep this momentum going! Our next goal is to build even more planters using our tyre upcycling method, turning old materials into productive, colourful garden features. To make this project even more special, we will hopefully be collaborating again with the wonderful Eco Warriors from Christ Church School. They always bring so much energy, enthusiasm, and fresh, creative ideas to our garden planning sessions!

We can’t wait to get our hands in the soil this September and watch these new spaces come to life. Stay tuned for more green updates as our summer preparations turn into autumn blooms!
